Shoe designer Jerome C. Rousseau previewed his 2016 Spring collection, before the NYC Fashion Week mind you, at Capretto Shoes here in SOMI.
Fascinated by footwear since a youngster, Jerome graduated from the renowned Cordwainers College in the UK at age 19. Hailing from Quebec, he has spent much time in the UK, and for the past 11 years lives in L.A.
He has had his label for 6 1/2 years. In July 2010, the label was awarded the prestigious “Who Is On Next” accessories prize by Vogue Italia. His footwear is expertly handcrafted in Italy, with prices points from $595-$1295; all-over beaded $1695.
Celebrities wearing the Jerome C. Rousseau label include Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Charlize Theron, Cameron Diaz and others. And for Jerome, he lives in DelToro shoes.
And from South Miami, Jerome was heading on to Charleston, Boston, NYC, LA, Paris (Fashion Week).
