As fall quickly approaches, we take a look at the runway trends that will set the tone for the season.  From New York to Milan, this season’s most covetable designer looks are a cool way to keep you HOT in 2018.

Your coat is the first impression people have of you, which makes it the most powerful piece in your wardrobe. Judging by the amount of coverage on the runways this fall, leather is set to take over closets worldwide in the coming months. Chic Outerwear is the true catalyst for this season, and if you want to go full Matrix, there are countless black coat options. For those who prefer a lighter touch, there are plentiful offerings in neutral and colorful shades, too. If you only buy one item to tap into the trend, make it a statement coat.

From Tom Ford to Givenchy, fashion’s biggest names have reignited their love for all things animal print. Leopard is the most obvious choice, with zebra, ocelot and cheetah coming in a close second. Python printed coats and trenches also made a surprising appearance and in the chicest options. We saw a lot of mix matching of animal prints, and I must admit we fell in love. We also loved seeing chain belts substituted for the classic matching waist wrap.

Our favorite labels are offering up all the joys of a casual blazer served up in plaid, tweed and, best of all, warm textiles. From Miu Miu to Stella McCartney, Menswear is on the continual rise as the traditional checked blazer shows no sign of disappearing anytime soon. Paired with a contrasting skirt or pants, this classic country club chic appeal pairs beautifully with chunky cable knits or a ribbed turtleneck. For a touch of bling, oversized hoops and chunky link chain will really elevate all those hardworking fabrics.

 Say hello to the “cape-blanket,” this seasons newcomer on the fashion block, and it’s quite literally a blanket. We saw endless wraps and drapes around the Isabel Marant girls, along with its counterparts at Gucci and Mcqueen. It’s definitely the most versatile garment we’ve seen and also a good use for emergency winter picnics. A chic way to style your wrapped up look is with a belted waist and decadent brooches to accentuate its wearability.
