Just as we begin to settle in to our multi-layered winter wears, spring barrels forth in true seasonal force with a unique take on trends for 2019 trends.  Despite many designers experimenting with ‘see-now, buy-now,’ the impatient demand of millennial the fashionistas of the new millennium brings the sartorial scorcher of the runways to the concrete sidewalks just days after they are showndebut. . What you’ll see this This spring season we see  is a resurgence in (DAD WEAR) in shorts, denim, and accessories. The modern take on “mandals” takes our boys up the fashion hills in Velcro straps and short shorts,  all while delivering the smooth vibes of ‘90’s style with in a pattern clash of fabrics and textures.

With denim trends having run the fashion gamut from season to season, the simple plain-old dad jean has come out on the top of the 2019 totem. Whether its Valentino’s medium to light wash straight leg denim or Versace’s slight boot cut, the dad jean serves as a smart base for some of this season’s more outlandish pairings. Last summer’s Hawaiian shirts have given way to a wild range of patterns in a classic Tommy Bahama or Cuban collar- style silhouette. Fendi sent out several in the house’s popular Zucca monogram. W, while , Valentino’s wide set  roomy camouflage button down paired with a in tropical detail adds to the trending topic palette.

Storage space is a necessity in the world today, and fashion has made up for our lack of storage with excessive amount of pockets in jackets and, trousers, or harness straps with enough storage for your iPhone, AirPods, wallet, passport, cologne, shades, MetroCard, and about 20 other essentials you just can’t leave at home.  Just in case you don’t find the use in garments with too many pockets, hand bags for men are now a thing now.  It’s not a man bag, not a murse, not even a fanny pack…2019 is the season of the handbag for men.  Mr.  Kim Jones, who is at the helm of Christian Dior Homme, reinterpreted the house’s classic saddle bag into a series of shoulder bags and cross body styles. However, it was the Italians that knew how to lead the way, with Prada and Valentino showcasing their men’s handbags down on the runway. After all, men have stuff too.

Tiny short-shorts were all over the runways this season as well, with the best found in neoprene styles at Prada and a tie-dye retro print at Dries Van Noten. There wasn’t a show that didn’t feature a pair of sandals in one iteration or another. . The most desirable came in the form of souped-up tech walking sandals. From the heavy-duty hikers at Dries van Noten to the nylon-webbing strap styles at Fendi the urban-outdoorsman now has a style to call his own.
