Mack Cycle’s Mary Jane Mark presents a check to the Dolphins Cancer Challenge. Joining her are Abbey Sutton and Erica Stoodley (left and right), with Chris Allen of the UM Medical Advancement Office and Nat Moore, Miami Dolphins Alumni and the VP of Alumni for the Dolphins.

On Tuesday evening, May 14th Mack Cycle & Fitness hosted its annual appreciation party for the Mack Cycle charity teams. Held at the Cane Zone, the teams and their guests enjoyed an evening of dinner, drinks, & prizes to celebrate the $212,694 raised by the Mack Cycle Teams. Carbon fiber road bicycles from Cannondale and Giant were the big prizes of the night, worth $2000 each.  Thousands of dollars’ worth of other prizes were also won throughout the night.

Special guests at the appreciation event included pro football players and former Miami Dolphins, Nat Moore, Don McNeal, and Tom Smith. Representatives from the University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Center and Bike MS were also on site to receive checks presented at the event and acknowledge the fundraising efforts.

As Mack Cycle’s Sandy Losada reports” “Riding your bike, making new friends, fully supported, helping others. All of this describes joining the Mack Cycle Teams. Each year Mack Cycle & Fitness encourages any and all cyclists to join them in making a difference. They ride their bikes and pursue athletic goals to fundraise for worthy causes, the MS foundation, and the University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Research Center. Both events, the Bike MS Breakaway to Key Largo, and the Dolphin’s Cancer Challenge are an incredible display of cooperation within our community to make real positive changes.”

And to encourage cyclists to participate, Mack Cycle has fantastic incentives, which are given out throughout their training before the event, during the event and after.  There is no charge to join a Mack Cycle fundraising team and the benefits are incredible. There are team training rides, health and fitness seminars, cycling jerseys and bib shorts, team mechanical support, and the party!  And Sandy wraps up: “All for free (mojitos as well!).  We welcome anyone and everyone of all cycling abilities to join our teams.”
