REMEMBERING MARTIN

As part of the South Miami community’s February Black History Awareness Month, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee organized the annual parade and family day on Saturday, February 28th.  The parade made its way through the Williamson historic community to the Marshall Williamson field for an afternoon of music, food and fun.  Conch fritters, bbq, cotton candy plus bounce houses and great sounds from the DJ made for a great afternoon. Civic, religious and community leaders joined in the festivities to remember the African heritage and the great contribution of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
