Southeastern Grocers /Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. the fifth-largest conventional supermarket in the United States, invested mightily in the South Miami store in bringing modernizing and expanded offerings, celebrating its new look during its grand reveal reception on Thursday, July 9.
A special ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with the City of South Miami and ChamberSOUTH kicked off the event, which included check presentations to Branches, South Miami Alliance for Youth and ArtSouth.
Customers enjoy a refreshed shopping experience, boasting upgraded and expanded seafood, deli, bakery, produce and wine departments. Tony Jorges, regional vice president, Winn-Dixie Stores, noted: “providing an exceptional shopping experience is our number one priority and our associates are passionate about providing customers with a store they can trust to deliver quality, service and value every time they visit.”
The South Miami store welcomes customers with a new modern facade and upgraded décor leading into the newly expanded produce department, which offers the season’s freshest organic fruits and vegetables and an assortment of freshly cut fruits. The upgraded seafood department has been expanded to offer fresh live lobster and fresh, made-to-order sushi by an on-site sushi chef. The new deli department offers an array of freshly prepared entrees and chef-inspired meals prepared by an experienced chef, and the renovated bakery department offers fresh-baked, self-serve artisan breads, rolls, pastries.
The store offers customers an assortment of artisan cheeses, hand-cut by a knowledgeable cheese steward, who will assist in creating the perfect pairing from the store’s expanded wine and beer selection. Customers can also take a break from their shopping trip at the new Breakfast and Sandwiches Wi-Fi café, which offers freshly prepared breakfast, sandwiches and coffee.
