ChamberSOUTH’s Wellness Committee held a first time “Walk In to Wellness” event on Sunday, February 5 and hosted at The Shops of Sunset Place. An absolutely gorgeous day made for a great event and helped prep people for the Super Bowl game that evening.
Registrants received a ‘Passport’ card that they took to each of the participating vendors. Their completed stamped card was their entry into the drawing for awesome prizes. Some of the prizes included: a $250 shopping spree for The Shops of Sunset Place, gift certificates from Pilates In The Grove, Stretch Zone, Just Om Yoga, Paddle Board South Florida, Fruit Baskets from JoAnn Parns and Redland Market, and movie tickets from AMC Theater. Representatives with Shaklee, Arbonne and Nuskin, You Matter Cares Services, South Miami Hospital, Game Time, Buffalo Wild Wings, the Miami Marlins and City of South Miami all made the first event a grand success.
People were able to walk the ½ mile course set out by foot prints on the ground directing the flow. They took advantage of the different fitness vendor activities including stretching, yoga, pilates, paddle board and personal fitness training demos. Face painting for the kids provided by Art South volunteers was so fun, too!
A great community event, the second annual event is already planned for Saturday, February 10, 2018.
