Avalon South Miami is comprised of 290 rental apartments, ranging from studio to three-bedroom lease units. Residents will enjoy various on-site amenities, including a elevated pool deck, double-height resident lounge, private dining room with patio space for entertaining, a co-working space, a state-of-the-art fitness center with connected wellness terrace, and pet spa for four-legged friends. Two-story town houses are situated along 74th Street.
The residential offerings are just one part of the mixed-use venture. The complex’s bottom floor will host a 27,000-square-foot Fresh Market grocery store. The remaining 4,000 square feet will provide for restaurant and retail space. With reimagined streetscapes and a shaded civic plaza, the project aims to create a dynamic live-work-play environment.

And new residential living in South Miami in the transit development corridor will expand as Avalon Bay Communities is negotiating to purchase properties adjacent to its South Miami Market project on Dorn Avenue (59 Avenue) and US1. These properties include Deli Lane, Sunset Tavern, Einstein’s and the B.T. Gentlemen’s Club. Recent changes to the city’s zoning code will allow for 16-story building on that site.
