The Best Buddies 2021 Miami Challenge on Friday, November 17th brought top USA and international cyclists to Miami for a stellar event. Four time Tour de France champion Chris Froome led the 70-mile ride and joined by former professional riders George Hincapie, Christian Vande Verde, Bobby Julich, Leanda Cave, Tom Pidcock, Magnus Sheffield and Cam Wurf.
The presidential-style police rolling enclosure by 23 Miami motors, brought 70 cyclists from the starting point at Key Biscayne Ritz Carlton for a 70-mile route covering a spectacular scenic Miami route and crossing the causeways to Miami Beach and back. $1.5 million was raised to support Best Buddies International.
Founded by Anthony Kennedy Shriver, Best Buddies International is dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
