On September 22nd, 2017, ChamberSOUTH hosted its General Membership Breakfast and 2017-18 Board of Directors Installation at the Dadeland Marriot hotel. The installation ceremony was led by Miami-Dade County Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava (District 8). The generous title sponsor of the breakfast was Baptist Health South Florida. Baptist’s Danny Elfenbein (photo above left) gave a very informative presentation on the newest medical awareness campaign: “Carevenience: the Cure for Inconvenient Care.”
The program has an app called “Care on Demand” which allows an individual to receive a consultation from a doctor via cell phone. This app offers face-to-face video visits, with the best doctors Baptist has on staff, 24/7.
After the sponsor presentation, Commissioner Cava spoke to the attendees of her latest transportation efforts within the county and the “South Dade: More to Explore” marketing campaign. She acknowledged the leadership efforts she witnesses being a part of the ChamberSOUTH. After her remarks, the Commissioner swore in the Board of Directors along with the 2017-2018 Chairman Ken Kistner of CBT College.
