A RUN FOR THE ROSES – “TRIPLE CROWN” RECOGNITION GIVEN CITY’S CFO

On February 4, 2025, the city presented Alfredo Riverol with a bouquet of red roses to congratulate him on receiving the esteemed Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Triple Crown Award. This prestigious recognition celebrates his exceptional achievements in financial reporting, budgeting, and transparency, strengthening trust and confidence among both taxpayers and stakeholders.

Receiving the GFOA Triple Crown is a unique distinction, with fewer than 360 public entities across the United States earning this recognition each year. The City of South Miami is proud to be one of only five municipalities in Miami-Dade County to have achieved this honor. A heartfelt appreciation is extended to the city’s finance department for their exceptional work in helping to achieve this prestigious recognition once again.
