FIORA DI ZUCCA

Lazaro P., Coral Gables

My favorite seasonal treat in Italy are the zucchini flowers. Chefs prepare them in traditional ways and others with a touch of culinary genius. I read about Mano Libera’s Michelin Guide recommendation in your recent email and had to try Chef’s Marco handiwork. The flavor and presentation was exceptional, and the meal just got better as we ate our way through the courses.

PANCAKES ON THE MENU!

Peter K., High Pines

I always enjoy having breakfast meetings at CRAFT; I especially enjoy their Verde plate. Their menu has changed and they now have pancakes. I just had to try them – and they did not disappoint. All the dishes prepared at Craft as so craft-fully presented!

ALWAYS A #1 CHOICE

Laura V., Coral Gables

I’m delighted to see Hussein’s new location in South Gables. I’ve enjoyed dining at Marhaba since he was on Sunset Drive at the mall. One of my favorite dishes is the Marhaba Shrimp presented in his special Lebanese sauce and served with angel hair rice and grilled vegetables. What a treat!

Padel Court. I recall reading in your magazine about the new Padel courts coming to the Municipal Garage rooftop. I’d like to get an update on the project. It’s a great way to spend time with friends.

Mural on Garage. My recent visitors to South Miami remarked about the stunning mural on the side of the garage. They felt, as I do, that this really adds to the character of our city. Great job with the public art. Looking good South Miami.

Dorn Building. The prized 1925 historic building at the entrance to our downtown looks horrible with all the plywood plastered over the windows. I hope when they finish with the renovations to accommodate Deli Lane’s relocation, our historic gem will shine brightly once again.
