SOMI SECOND SATURDAYS

SoMi Second Saturdays Night Market has been recognized as the Community Event of the Year by the Greater Miami Festivals and Events Association (GMFEA)! The city was honored to be a finalist alongside outstanding events such as Boynton Beach Night Market, Hialeah Food & Wine, Weekly Brothers Davie Pro Rodeo, and Zoo Miami’s Feast with the Beasts—and the city’s event was ultimately named the winner during GMFEA’s 12th Annual Conference % Exhibition.

PICKLEBALL VS PADEL

The two racquet sports are experiencing huge rises in popularity both in the United States and globally as of late. Both sports are vying for attention and dollars internationally, and proponents of both sports currently claim that their sport is the “future” of racquet sports. South Miami has pickleball ball courts and is now considering padel courts as promoted by a group which has developed courts in Portugal and here in Miami.
