SOMI introduces you to some new business SOMI concepts and owners

Business partners Victoria Galindez and Sebastian Lopez.

Four generations of bakers, restaurateurs originally coming from the Regione Liguria in Italy, with stops in Uruguay, Chile and Argentina, Clásica Victoria arrived in South Florida in 2014 and built its reputation in Key Biscayne and now opens a bakery/restaurant on Sunset Drive in South Miami.

The bakery/testaurant reflects a “traditional gastronomy built with love, passion and hard work” as founder Victoria Galindez notes, she is pleased to bring the brand to SOMI.  “Since 1939 to the present and from Italy to South Florida, our story has always involved restaurants, bakeries and fine gastronomy.” Her partner Sebastian Lopez is a Cordon Bleu chef.

Clásica Victoria is open seven days from 7:30a – 6:00p serving breakfast, lunch and teatime.  Catering services are available.

Victoria is planning for activities showing different talents within the community with wine tastings, floral arrangement lessons, art and more, becoming “a nurturing bridge” in town.

COYO TACO HITS SOMI
Miami’s freshest Mexican street food experience comes to SOMI.  After long months of seeing the “coming soon” sign on their windows, Coyo Taco made its SOMI debut in April.  This fast casual dining restaurant brand is known for its “todo fresco” philosophy of “everything fresh”with 100% natural ingredients.

At Coyo Taco, guacamole is smashed to order, and tortillas are handcrafted on-site in an authentic Mexican tradition. Vegetables are farm fresh and responsibly sourced. Meat and seafood are naturally raised and humanely treated. Agua frescas and margaritas are made from scratch.

The name originates with the town of Coyotan, Mexico frequented by owner Alan Drummond.

Coyo Taco is open Sunday to Thursday from 11a-10p and Friday, Saturday from 11a – 12m.and offers a full service bar.

Appreciate the original artwork, carved tables featuring Mexican Lotteria cards and of course, the margheritas and awesome Mexican street food.
