HONORING A LEGACY: REMEMBERING DR. ANNA PRICE

This weekend, we lost a true trailblazer, a devoted educator, and a champion for our community— Dr. Anna Price. As the first Black Mayor of South Miami, a respected college professor, and a lifelong activist, she dedicated her life to service, education, and empowerment.

Dr. Price was more than a leader; she was a mentor, a voice for the unheard, and a force for change. Her passion for justice and education shaped countless lives, and her impact will be felt for generations to come.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and all who were touched by her wisdom and compassion. Let us honor Dr. Anna Price’s memory by continuing the work she started—building a more just, informed, and united community.

Rest in power, Anna. Your legacy lives on.
