Our hometown district has seen several new eateries opening over the past few months: Chef Michael Altman returns to SOMI and opens Kitchen 57. Veteran restaurateur Jorgie Ramos launched Bar Bella in the former Taco Craft space on 73 Street and is gearing up to open his popular Vice City Pizza in the former Ceviche Lovers location across the street. Chef Marco Giugliano brings Italian tradition with innovation at his sophisticated Mano Libera restaurant on 59 Avenue, former site of Mosaico by Maurizio Farinelli. Chefs Nico & Maria Teresa opened ReCoVeCo on 74th Street near FOX’S, and is chalking up great reviews and a Michelin nod. NOE Sushi Bar on US1 at 73 Street has been a South American favorite, known for its fusion of Japanese and Latin American flavors. The popular maman bakery / csfe which originated in NYC recently opened on Sunset Drive, and is drawing a faithful following for breakfast, lunch and afternoon breaks.
Read about these places in SOMIonline magazine, and check out our What’s New in Town feature in this issue to learn about other eateries now open: The Grape Ape, 107 Taste, SNDWCH, La Boulangerie Boul’Mich.
