CONSTRUCTION UPDATE – May 2026

The Underline is a ten-mile urban park and linear path which is nearing completion this year. A one-mile length of The Underline is within the City of South Miami municipal boundaries. Starting with last year’s summer edition, SOMIonline began documenting the construction at key points along the mile and the transformation of the underutilized land under the Metrorail into a splendid urban park with cycling and walking trails, together with special amenities to bring communities together.
