ChamberSOUTH hosted Meg Daly as a guest speaker for their annual June Wellness Table Top Breakfast. Meg is the Founder and President of Friends of The Underline, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, leading the initiative to transform the underutilized land below Miami’s Metrorail into a 10-mile, urban trail and linear park.
The audience enjoyed healthy, light bites as Meg informed them of the future of Miami-Dade County through the Underline project. The Underline has partnered with Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation & Open Spaces and Transit Departments. They also have endorsements from Miami-Dade County, the cities of Miami, Coral Gables and South Miami, the Village of Pinecrest, the University of Miami, and several other organizations. ChamberSOUTH was among the first of the Chambers of Commerce to officially endorse The Underline.
The breakfast was generously sponsored by UHealth, who was also the presenting participant in ChamberSOUTH’s Wellness Table Top Expo. This annual signature event allows organizations share their mission of health and wellness with the ChamberSOUTH community and beyond. Other notable participants included, New Leaf Chiropractic, 1st Love fitness…taking care of you again!, Hurley Health Resources and South Miami Hospital. Guests were provided with information from a variety of well-being based organizations while partaking in complimentary hands-on experiences from spine-checks, provided by New Leaf Chiropractic to consultations with Hurley Health Resources.
