Victoria Miro and sister-in-law Erin have teamed up to create a thoroughly extraordinary space housing collections from around the world.
For Victoria, who attended St. Theresa’s and Lourdes, and lived in Pinecrest for the past 17 years, is most familiar with the South Miami shopping experience. A former teacher, who homeschooled her two children, she enjoys a passion for interior design and decoration. She had organized weddings, prepared floral arrangements and catered to the needs of her clients. This is her first fashion retail venture.
Both Victoria and Erin, who lives in the Northeast, had always wanted to do something together, and so they embarked on this new venture, designing the interior space and enlisting the entire family in actually building out the luxurious surroundings in two months. “We left a lot of sweat equity here,” exclaims Victoria.
Miro’s Boutique is not label driven and carries more than just well-known designers. Erin, as co-buyer, has selected international collections: Italy (Maliparmi), LeMaison, a designer for Tom Ford, Singapore, London, Russia, Marie France van Damme, L.A.M.B., Gwen Stephani (Canada), Connie Bates/Fahrenheit (NY), and for the holidays gowns from Kaufman-Franco. Miro’s has its own handbags and bracelets, and their goal is to design their own label someday.
