\nThe Vesper Project is the culmination of New York City-based Titus Kaphar\u2019s intensive engagement with the imaginary history of the Vespers, a 19th-century New England family who were able to \u201cpass\u201d as Caucasian despite the fact that their mixed heritage made them black in the eyes of the law.<\/p>\n

\nMs Mole\u2019s stage career spreads over numerous prestigious venues throughout the US and Europe.\u00a0As the unanimous winner of the Eighth Miami International Organ Competition.<\/p>\n

Chaplin<\/b>.\u00a0 Chaplin is a distinguished professional fine art nature photographer that also specializes in photographic workshop expeditions into the Everglades and natural South Florida.\u00a0 He is a South Florida native with an intimate knowledge of the Everglades and surrounding areas and has the required permits to guide photographers in Everglades National Park.\u00a0 )<\/p>\n

Paphiopedilum sp<\/p><\/div>\n

Tropical botanical artist Julio J. Figueroa <\/b>will be exhibiting his work in January.\u00a0 Born and educated in Havana, Cuba, he completed his course work both at the\u00a0 School of Technical Drawing and the National School of Design, and later completed courses in scientific illustration.\u00a0 For ten years he was a scientific illustrator for the Biology Department at the University of Havana.\u00a0 Since his arrival to Miami in 2007, he has exhibited at many events at Fairchild Garden, and travels extensively world-wide to participate in scientific symposia.\u00a0 He has also published in several countries. ().<\/p>\n

OTHER ARTISTIC VENUES<\/b><\/h2>\n

Two retail locations in SOMI that have a unique artistic presence are arango<\/b> and The Archive<\/b>.\u00a0Both are located on Sunset Drive, however at opposite ends of town: 5864 Sunset Drive & 1559 1\/2 respectively.<\/p>\n

The Archive Fine Art & Collectibles<\/b> is located directly east of Red Road. The Archive shows a number of resident artists and exhibits featured artists on a periodic basis.<\/p>\n

\"Arango-Bird-Sculptures\"arango<\/b> has enjoyed over fifty years in presenting Miamians modern design in housewares,
\nfurnishing and accessories.\u00a0For decades, arango was a fixture at Dadeland. Last fall, arango went from the mall to main street. The store regularly features exhibitions of modern design artists with their collections.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
