\"\"The University of Miami\u2019s elegant WATSCO Center Hurricane 100 room was a great venue for the ChamberSOUTH August General Membership breakfast, featuring guest speaker, the prominent Professor Ben Kirtman. \u00a0 Dr. Kirtman is a Professor of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Miami\u2019s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science.\u00a0 He uses atmosphere-ocean general circulation models to study the predictability and variability of the Earth\u2019s climate system.\u00a0Dr. Kirtman is very active in scientific leadership both nationally and internationally.\u00a0 He serves as co-chair of the NOAA Climate Prediction Task Force and is a Coordinating Lead Author on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Assessment\u00a0Report Five.<\/p>\n

ChamberSOUTH members and guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast while listening to Professor Kirtman address the crowd on climate change, a prevalent topic in Miami today, and this gave insight as to what we all can expect for the future of our city.
