ChamberSOUTH hosted the University of Miami Head Football Coach Mark Richt as a guest speaker for their end of February Membership breakfast. Coach Mark Richt was able to do In just two seasons as the Hurricanes\u2019 head coach, what many have\u00a0been attempting to accomplish for years. Mark Richt has made\u00a0a permanent impact on his alma mater\u2019s football program,\u00a0on and off the field.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With Coach Richt, the Miami Hurricanes won 10 games in 2017, rising as high as second in the College Football Playoff rankings and also captured the Atlantic Coast Conference\u2019s Coastal Division for the first time in history, earning an invitation to the Capital One Orange Bowl for the first time in over a decade. Richt rightfully won 2017 ACC Coach of the Year honors and was named the 2017 Walter Camp National Coach of the Year. You can positively say that its \u201cgreat to be a Miami hurricane\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The audience enjoyed a delicious breakfast while listening\u00a0Coach Mark Richt address the crowd on how he helps players keep a career post football, and how the Miami Hurricane football program is evolving. The breakfast was appropriately hosted by our friends at the University of Miami, in the elegant WATSCO center hurricane 100 room.<\/p>\n
