""As if Miami wasn’t HOT enough during the summer months, every year we have the pleasure of hosting SWIMWEEK on the sunny sands of South Beach. It is the only time of the year where the world of swimwear congregates to show off the latest in styles, fabrics, and even vacation essentials. This year we definitely saw a wide range of fun and flirty looks fit for that week long getaway in Tulum or just a lazy Sunday by the pool. SWIMWEEK always shows us the best this city has to offer during the Hotesst week of the year.

""One topic that was on everyone’s mind during SWIMWEEK 2019 was sustainability and how the fashion world is taking strides in trying to keep waste free, though being notoriously more difficult to achieve with swimwear. To spark more conversation on the issue, The UpCycle Project and Paraiso hosted an UpCycle challenge between design students across the country. Nine talented students from schools like FIT, Parsons, and the Miami Institute (AI) partnered with swimwear brands including Vitamin A, Cynthia Rowley, L’Space, Maaji, and Volcom to create a two piece collection from each of the brand’s upcycled leftover textiles.

In fashion we seem to find that the cyclical wheel brings back it’s most successful styles and one chic revival we saw was the one shoulder swimsuit, which looked stunning in both one piece and bikini styles. Some of our favorites were seen at Maheli Heli and Chloe Rose. from one barely there bikini to full length sleeves, the ideal swimwear for those who want to save themselves from the summer sun, long sleeve swimsuits had a moment with beautiful one-pieces at Acacia to bandeaus and bikinis at Nookie Beach there was no lack of uniqueness.
