On Saturday, February 8th, the concluding event of the Black history special events presented by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Organizing Committee was a parade through the community and finishing up with food and fun-filled activities staged at the Gibson-Bethel Community Center. Elected officials, community organizations and student groups joined a junkanoo band, high school bands, the Miami Heat Street Band in the line of march.\u00a0 They were joined by stilt walkers, the Miami Heat cheerleaders and team mascot Bernie.\u00a0 BBQ, conch fritters and salads and other foods were on the menu for the day!<\/p>\n[rev_slider PARADE]\n
