OLIVER!
March 6th – 21st, 2020

ASC is proud to announce OLIVER!, the last production at the Riviera Theatre, featuring students from the ASC Conservatory. This award-winning musical adaptation of the classic Dickens novel springs to life on the streets of Victorian England. Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, escapes to find acceptance by a group of pickpockets led by the comedic but sinister Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit, the benevolent Mr. Brownlow takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap Oliver back, threatening his chance to find love.

RING THEATRE
GREEN DAY’S AMERICAN IDIOT
Book & Lyrics by Billie Joe Armstrong & Michael Mayer, Music by Green Day
April 16th – 25th, 2020

We end our season with a high-octane electric-rock musical with a strong social message.  Based on Green Day’s Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum album, this energy-fueled rock opera features little dialogue and instead relies on the lyrics of Green Day’s albums to execute the story line of three disgruntled men as they flee the constraints of their hometown for the thrills of city life.
