SOMI SUMMER SIZZLES

Summer is here!  Time to sport some barely -there clothes, while keeping your look breezy and chic for summer 2017.  We keep cool while still serving major style with some of this season’s hottest trends that suit our climate all too well. As native Floridians we are all too accustomed to the weather, which is why categorically we can apply this season’s trend as acceptable daily wear.  As the UV index climbs we would like to remind you to always keep sun screen handy because the looks we are about to discuss are  burning HOT!

​As we dial up the HEAT, it’s only acceptable that inner-outer-wear would be on the top of everyone’s trend list. The bra top is back in full force this season after popping up on countless spring runways the likes of Altuzzara and Oscar de la Renta. A coordinating bra and high-waisted skirt set makes for the perfect outfit for all your summer parties. This particular style pairs well when worn over business shirts, dresses and T-shirts modernizing the classic look for 2017.

​With the scorcher of a summer were due to expect, we turn a Cold Shoulder to style in this season’s second top trend.  While last summer was ruled by off-the-shoulder silhouettes, this summer, it’s all about a single, “Flashdance” inspired cold shoulder, Rosie Assouline delivered a beautiful selection of cold shoulder shirt- and wrap dresses; but the top contenders were at Dior, Mcqueen, and Lavin were dresses included simple cut out designs that showed minimal skin.  With A sexy peek of clavicle and an ever present hide and seek on body play this look is especially sexy when paired with over sized hoop earrings and statement rings.

​This summer we see no importance for sarongs or pareos as we bring the sensuality of bedroom robes and duster jackets in to the picture.  Silk printed robes and billowy floor length cover ups are no longer just for home use, a cool fit that is not only to be used as a spa wear, but also as a chic outer garment that flows with you as you go. The mix of masculine sensuality meets boudoir elegance shows us that loungewear isn’t just best kept for after dark but can be paired with everyday apparel or with a lovely gown for a night on the town.
