On Wednesday, July 19, ArtSouth along with its partner, ChamberSOUTH, hosted yet another successful event in South Miami, ChamberSOUTH members and friends came together in a mutual experience of relaxation and creative expression at ArtSouth’s “Vino and Van Gogh.” With all painting stations filled, patrons enjoyed wine and refreshments, while ArtSouth Chairwoman and resident artist, Janis Klein-Cohen, led them in painting their own beautiful ocean scene. By the night’s end, all participants had created their own uniquely beautiful masterpiece.
Patrons described the night as a much-appreciated chance to relax and experience the joys of artistic expression; an accomplishment ArtSouth constantly seeks to replicate in its various free and low-cost out-of-school arts programs. Proceeds from the night benefit these very programs, allowing vulnerable youth to find cultural identity and personal expression in the arts.
ArtSouth strives to provide children of underserved communities access to arts programs outside the classroom environment. To those seeking a fun and engaging event that benefits the community, ArtSouth will gladly host a painting party for the occasion of your choice.
